Full course description
This on demand module is designed to fulfill the training requirement for CCO and CDO. It should take approximately 30 minutes to complete and will be followed by a short exam. A pass mark of 75% applies to the exam.
Module objectives include:
- Take account of the objectives and structure of the course.
- Describe the examination and appeals processes.
- Define CCO and CDO.
- Describe the benefits of CCO and CDO.
- Consider the importance of predictability for the flight crew.
- Recognise the factors that affect CCO and CDO.
- Recognise the basic functionalities of Flight Management Systems (FMS) and their variations.
- Consider descent management with regards to CDO.
- Describe how ATC can facilitate CDO, including the use of Distance to Go information.
- Consider the use of speed control with regard to CDO.
- Recognise the importance of providing updated Distance to Go information to the pilot if vectors are given.
- Consider the integration of arrivals versus departures utilising CDO and CCO.
